The Bible Is The Word of God<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

2Timothy 3:16 NLT<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cAll scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

1Thessalonians 2:13 NIV<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cAnd we also thank God continually because, when you receive the Word of God which you heard of us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but actually as it is the Word of God which is at work in you who believe.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

God\u2019s Word is the only completely reliable and truthful authority, and we accept the Bible as our manual for living. Our first question when faced with a decision is, \u201cWhat does the bible say?\u201d We practice daily bible reading and bible study. The bible is the basis for all we believe.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Jesus Christ is the Son of God<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

John 14:6 NIV<\/strong> “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Acts 4:11-12 NLT<\/strong> \u201cFor Jesus is the one referred to in the scriptures, where it says, \u201cThe stone that you builders rejected has become the cornerstone.\u201d There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute. This accomplished salvation for all who receive grace by trusting in Him alone. He rose from the dead and is the only mediator between God and us. He baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit and will return to earth to consummate history.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

You \u00a0Must be Born Again<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

2 Corinthians 5:17-18 LB<\/strong> “When anyone becomes a Christian he becomes a new person inside. The old passes away, a new life has begun.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

John 3:3<\/strong> “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

John 3:5<\/strong> “Jesus answered, Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of the water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Matthew 16:25 NLT<\/strong> \u201cIf you try to keep your life for yourself you will lose it. But if you give up your life for me, you will find true life.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

God created humans to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God\u2019s saving grace to end our alienation from Him, Salvation comes only through God\u2019s grace-not human effort- and it must be received personally by repentance and faith. At the end, everyone will experience bodily resurrection and the judgment. Only believers will enjoy eternal fellowship with God.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We Believe In Baptism<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We believe that all of God\u2019s people are to be buried with our Lord Jesus Christ in the waters of baptism, after conversion.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Matthew 28:19 NIV<\/strong> “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Acts 2:38 NKJV<\/strong> “Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Romans 6:4 NKJV<\/strong> “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead, by the glory of the Father, even so we also walk in newness of life.\u00a0“<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

  • Baptism is a command. Everyone who confesses Christ should be baptized.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
  • Baptism comes from the Greek word \u2018baptizo\u201d, which means to immerse.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
  • Baptism represents a burial of the old way of life and mindset.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
  • Baptism is not a prerequisite to salvation.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
  • Baptism is to be participated in when the concept that it represents can be fully understood by the participant.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
  • Jesus was baptized as a way of identifying with us as sinners.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    We Believe in The Holy Spirit<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    We believe that the Holy Spirit dwells in all believers, conforming them to the image of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\r\n

    Romans 8:9<\/strong> “Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ he is none of his.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    1 Corinthians 12:13 NKJV<\/strong> “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body- whether Jew or Greek, whether slaves or free- and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    Romans 8:16-17 NKJV<\/strong> “The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children then heirs -heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him, that we may be glorified together.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    • The Holy Spirit sanctifies -sets us apart to fulfill God\u2019s purpose in our lives.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
    • The Holy Spirit preserves -He keeps us until the day that Christ returns.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
    • The Holy Spirit comes within you to help you to become a son of God.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
    • The scriptures identify Him as the one who comes along side to provide comfort, teaching, and revelation regarding the will of God.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      Luke 11:13 NIV<\/strong> \u201cIf you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      We believe the only way possible to live the Christian life is by God\u2019s power in within us. Every believer can be filled with the Holy Spirit simply by asking. We seek to practice a daily dependence on God\u2019s Spirit to enable us to do what is right.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      We Believe the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is an Endowment of Power<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is an endowment of power given by God to anoint the believer for sanctification and evangelism. It is our understanding that the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit is active within the body of Christ until the coming of the Lord. Furthermore, we believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit ought to be encouraged under the guidance of local church authorities.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      Acts 8:14-17 NKJV<\/strong> “Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, who when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. For yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      Acts 19:1-2 NKJV<\/strong> “And it happened while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples he said to them, ‘Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed’ So, they said to him, ‘We have not so much as hear whether there is a Holy Spirit’.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      1 Corinthians12:4-7 NKJV<\/strong> “There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is an essential experience to salvation.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

        \r\n
      • Evidence of the initial empowerment of the Holy Spirit is demonstrated by speaking in tongues and boldness as recorded in the book of Acts.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
      • The Holy Spirit within produces fruit for an internal work.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
      • The Holy Spirit upon us produces power for an external work.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
      • We encourage you to ask Jesus to baptize you with the Holy Spirit.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

        We Believe God Hears and Responds To Our Prayers<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

        Prayer is direct communication with God. Our prayers may be filled with worship, praise, and even our requests of God. Throughout scripture God\u2019s people called out to God in prayer, and He answered their cries.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

        John 14:13-14 NKJV<\/strong> “And whatever you ask in my name may be glorified in the, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

        Philippians 4:6 NLT<\/strong> “Don\u2019t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

        James 5:13-16 NLT<\/strong> “Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
