Our building project began in November 2003. To date we have completed the basement, the sanctuary on the ground floor, and the upstairs residential section of our project.
The basement area is divided into three sections and is being used for community service as well as the ministry. The entire basement is approximately 5,600 sq. ft., which includes two small office spaces, two restrooms; approximately 2,100 sq. ft. and is being used for a children’s church and Sunday school on Sundays. It is also being used for community events at various times, with the youth, children, and the underserved in mind. Primarily education and health initiatives in collaboration with other kingdom conscious entities. The middle section, which is 1,845 sq. ft., is being used for multiple purposes, such as seminars, workshops, conferences, wedding receptions, and birthday celebrations. The third section of the basement, which is 1,652 sq. ft., consists of a food pantry area, a commercial style kitchen, an informal dining area and two additional restrooms. The entire basement section was designed with community in mind.
The sanctuary on the ground floor has an area of 6,920 sq. Ft., and consists of two office spaces with bathrooms, a projected sound room, two additional restrooms, with a seating capacity of approximately 400 people comfortably. Our facility was mandated by NEPA to provide air conditioning for our building, for the purpose of sound management.
The second level of the building is approx. 3000 sq. ft. and consists of a residential quarter to provide a permanent private residence for our founder.
Our first financial goal was updating our energy to a more affordable system. We were desirous of purchasing and installing solar panels. This would accommodate the use of air conditioners and other electrical components, without such exorbitant charges from the only utilities provider in the country. Because we desire to have full use of the premises to fulfill kingdom agendas, we must alleviate the burden of energy cost. We have air conditioned our facility from the beginning and now realize that we could not fully accomplish our assignment without addressing the huge increase in energy cost. The projected cost to purchase and install solar energy is approximately $46,500.00 US ($6.975,000. J). Partial installation with 35 panels and two batteries would be approximately $27,000.00 US ($4,020,000. J.) We are happy to have finished the first phase of the project and are in need of $11,516.23 US ($1,773,500.J) to complete our solar project.
Our second financial goal is to purchase a 14-passenger van for the purpose of evangelism and outreach efforts, fellowship, and support transportation for the ministry to better collaborate with other ministries.
Our 13-passenger van was stolen quite some time ago and was never found or replaced. We understand that having the ability to provide transportation is invaluable to a ministry. The cost of a used 14-passenger van is approximately $4,500,000. J -$5,000,000.J/ ($30,000. – $32,000.US).
Our third financial goal is to create a scholarship fund that will assist in a greater way for those who have academic excellence but are challenged financially. We desire to give an annual scholarship event and offer a minimum of (2) $50,000J scholarships to two worthy students in primary school, (1) $100,000J to a student in high school, and (1) $100,000J for a tertiary student (min. amount of $300,000J/$2,000 US). In 2024 we were not able to fulfill this objective. However, we were able to bless one of our students with a new HP laptop and provide assistance for one of our college graduates with graduation expenses.
